A solid 475km day ride to the Vredefort dome, with a brunch stop at Venterskroon Inn, I can highly recommend stopping there. From there it was on to Skandenaviadrift Hotel for a coldrink and then we had to back track to go help fix a puncture. The ride from there was incredibly scenic through the mountains, but we were quickly running out of fuel (the one short coni g of the 690 is its 200km fuel rangs) and needed to head straight to Parys to fill up, before we head back home.
